Our Women’s FGM Support & Healing Program exists to ensure women and girls affected by FGM/C (female genital mutilation/cutting) are met with dignity, safety, and real support without shame, fear, or judgment. We understand that FGM/C impacts health, relationships, identity, motherhood, and wellbeing. This program provides a safe place to talk, learn, heal, and access services.
What we offer
1) Safe Support Circles (Group Support)
Regular women-only gatherings led by trained facilitators
Peer support, connection, and community belonging
Topics include wellbeing, healing, parenting, relationships, and navigating systems in Australia
2) One-on-One Support & Navigation
Confidential support for women who want private help
Referrals to trusted health services (GPs, women’s health, mental health, counselling)
Support with appointments and understanding care options
3) Education & Awareness
Community education sessions (women-only and mixed community options)
Myth-busting and facts about FGM/C, health, and Australian laws
Training for community leaders and allies to respond safely and respectfully
4) Empowerment Pathways
Confidence-building workshops and mentoring
Life skills support: communication, boundaries, leadership, self-advocacy
Practical support to build independence and stability

Youth Programs
Youth Education, Employment & Empowerment Program
Supporting young people to grow skills, confidence, and real pathways to the future.
Our Youth Education, Employment & Empowerment Program supports young people — especially those facing barriers such as migration challenges, isolation, financial stress, low confidence, or limited opportunities — to thrive. We focus on practical support, mentoring, and pathways into education and work.
What we offer
1) Education Support & Learning Pathways
Homework help and study support
Support with school engagement, attendance, and goal setting
Pathways guidance: TAFE, university, apprenticeships, short courses
Help with enrolments, resumes, and applications
2) Employment Pathways
Job readiness training (resume, interview skills, workplace confidence)
Support to find traineeships, apprenticeships, part-time work, and volunteering
Work experience opportunities through community partners and local businesses
Basic workplace skills: communication, time management, teamwork
3) Mentoring & Leadership
One-on-one mentoring and group mentoring
Youth leadership opportunities and community roles
Public speaking confidence and personal development workshops
Positive role models and supportive networks
4) Empowerment & Wellbeing
Safe spaces to talk about stress, identity, belonging, and peer pressure
Support with navigating services (youth services, counselling, school wellbeing teams)
Creative and cultural activities that build confidence and connection
Practical life skills: budgeting basics, cooking/nutrition, wellbeing routines
